Athletic Trainer

Job Description

Join our team at Blount Memorial Hospital as an Athletic Trainer providing exceptional training services to athletes in various settings, including sporting events, community events, and clinics within the Sports Medicine Program. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will assess athletes, monitor progress, and deliver physical therapy care under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.

Responsibilities

• Assess athletes and monitor progress.
• Document patient response to treatment.
• Provide physical therapy care to diverse populations.
• Participate in comprehensive patient care processes.
• Deliver patient, staff, community, and family education.

Requirements

• Current Athletic Training license in the State of Tennessee.
• CPR Certification.
• Membership in professional association recommended.
• Knowledge of growth and development, injury assessment, and human behavior.
• Effective communication, critical thinking, and performance assessment skills.
• Deductive reasoning and ability to synthesize information.
