1st Shift Warehouse Operations Lead

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated 1st Shift Warehouse Operations Lead to join our team at Aldi. This role offers an average of 30-35 hours per week at a starting wage of $23.00 per hour. As a Warehouse Operations Lead, your primary responsibility is to ensure the efficient functioning of the warehouse, focusing on timely shipping schedules, product receipts, and overall warehouse performance.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
• Prepare and establish daily shipping schedules to meet store inventory needs
• Verify proper receipt of products and escalate any discrepancies
• Assist in handling daily communications with 3rd party partners
• Supervise the staging, pallet construction, and accuracy of product selection
• Facilitate communication and fulfillment of store needs
• Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to the team
• Assist in developing and implementing action plans for improved operating results
• Support and communicate with colleagues and divisional departments
• Monitor service providers and vendors' performance within the warehouse
• Provide feedback and recommendations for improved operations
• Deliver information to resolve complaints and ensure equitable treatment of team members
• Execute inventory operational controls and conduct warehouse inventory counts
• Perform general cleaning duties to maintain warehouse appearance standards and safety requirements
• Lead inspections of inbound deliveries and fulfill all orders while verifying proper product receipt
• Provide administrative support at the central desk as needed
• Assist warehouse management in achieving budgeted goals
• Selection and receipt of incoming stock
• Operate equipment according to safety guidelines
• Ensure personnel comply with company guidelines, policies, procedures and demonstrate appropriate interactions with co-workers
• Train, develop, and monitor performance of team members
• Create a proper work environment and sense of teamwork among employees
• Adhere to inventory procedures and product handling guidelines
• Ensure a safe environment by identifying and rectifying hazards and maintaining equipment

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred, or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.

Physical Requirements

• Lift and place product weighing up to 45 pounds on pallets at various heights
• Move merchandise from warehouse stock and prepare products for store deliveries
• Sit, stand, bend, reach, grip, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the warehouse
• Work in varying temperatures, hot and cold, including outdoor and refrigerator/freezer environments
• Safely and properly operate powered industrial equipment
