As one of the leading causes of death and illness for people in several demographics, many forms of cancer are known. The second most common form is lung cancer, and it affects both men and women without prejudice, being the form of cancer that has the highest rate of death.

This lack of prejudice toward men or women also extends to smokers and non-smokers. Around 20% of the deaths from lung cancer are not people who smoke, or who have ever engaged in the habit.
