Center - Based Behavior Technician - Part Time

Job Description

We are hiring Center-Based Behavior Technicians on a part-time basis at Centria Autism. Join our team and play a pivotal role in positively impacting the lives of children with autism. As a Behavior Technician, you will work closely with children, implementing personalized behavior intervention plans designed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

You will utilize evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills, while also addressing interfering behaviors. Comprehensive training will be provided to equip you with the necessary skills, even if you lack prior experience. This role demands patience, compassion, and teamwork, as working with children with autism can present unpredictable situations.

Physical activities are a part of this role, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and potentially carrying children or objects weighing up to 50 pounds. At the end of the day, your work will be rewarded by knowing you have made a meaningful difference in a child's life and their family's experience.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Passion for helping children with autism.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED.
• Capacity to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification, and pass a background check.
• Physical ability to move in various positions and lift up to 50 pounds.

Salary

$16 - $18 per hour
