Certified Medical Assistant- Wound Care

Job Description

We are currently looking for a talented Certified Medical Assistant specializing in Wound Care to join Restore First Health Duluth. As a Medical Assistant for Mobile Wounds, you will work closely with our Practice Manager and Nurse Practitioner to provide exceptional care to patients primarily in their homes, skilled nursing facilities, and our clinic. In addition to assisting with wound procedures and treatments, your responsibilities will include patient education, documentation, and traveling to patient locations in a company vehicle. This dynamic role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering top-quality care across different age groups. Responsibilities

• Perform wound care visits including vital sign assessments and wound procedures.
• Assist with patient positioning, treatment preparation, and wound dressing changes.
• Manage wound supplies, documentation, and ensure all necessary supplies are available for patient visits.
• Coordinate wound care schedules, optimize driving routes, and communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent with Certified Medical Assistant program graduation.
• Minimum of two years of medical assistant experience, preferably in wound care.
• Current BCLS certification and clean driving record with a valid driver's license.
• Proficient in medical terminology, basic office skills, and EMR systems.
