Child Care Director

Job Description

We are currently seeking a full-time Child Care Director to join our team at Apple Tree Kids in Chesapeake. As the Child Care Director, you will play a crucial role in managing, supervising, and promoting all child care activities to ensure high-quality programs and services. In addition to a competitive salary ranging from $40,000 to $50,000 (Based on Experience), we offer a range of benefits, including 401k company match, health insurance, paid time off, childcare discount, and more. Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate Infant Care, Preschool, School-Age, and Summer Camp programs.
• Train, develop, and supervise childcare staff to ensure high-quality services.
• Ensure compliance with state and local regulations, including safety procedures and program standards.
• Maintain records of enrolled children, staff, and program files.
• Organize program registrations and events for children and families.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and collaborate with other Directors.
• Monitor program effectiveness and budget management.
• Further the mission and goals of Apple Tree Learning Center.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of two years of experience in coordinating or supervising child care programs.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Required certifications within 30 days of hire: CPR, First Aid, Virginia Pre-service Training, and MAT Training.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with diverse groups.
• Positive leadership, conflict resolution, and supervisory skills.
