CNC LASER OPERATOR -2nd shift

Job Description

We are currently looking for a CNC Laser Operator to join our team at Hi-Tek Manufacturing Inc for the 2nd shift. As a CNC Laser Operator, you will be responsible for executing cutting, drilling, welding, and ablation processes using CNC laser equipment in a manufacturing setting. The CNC Laser Operator will report to the shift supervisor and perform a variety of essential tasks outlined below.

Essential Tasks

• General:
  • Adhere to company policies, safety procedures, and protocols.
  • Document activities and maintain communication for shift continuity.
  • Detect and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of workspace.
• Setup and Operation:
  • Inspect and clean laser optics and align machines.
  • Install fixtures, load parts, and run CNC programs.
  • Maintain knowledge of CNC principles and read blueprints.
  • Perform prep, wash, and deburr operations.
• Inspection:
  • Use measuring tools to verify workpiece conformance.
  • Detect and report defective materials or conditions.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of laser experience.
• Basic mechanical and mathematical skills.
• Troubleshooting and critical thinking abilities.
• Manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Must be a United States Citizen or US Permanent Resident.
