Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a leading, high-growth division of Amazon.com offering cloud services to businesses globally. The AWS Energy Team at Amazon Data Services focuses on providing reliable and sustainable energy solutions to power data centers. We are seeking an experienced Energy Development Manager to join our Grid Analytics team. This role involves leading transmission planning activities to support renewable energy projects and power supply optimization for AWS data centers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain transmission planning models to align with Amazon's growth plans.
- Manage and analyze datasets to support decision-making on renewable energy projects and capacity planning.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to identify and address transmission constraints.
- Conduct power flow transmission studies to explore energy solutions such as Battery storage.
- Lead technical due diligence assessments for power connection options.
- Facilitate meetings, manage consultants, and ensure project documentation compliance.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience.
- Knowledge of best practices and technologies in infrastructure management.
- Experience in diverse infrastructure builds.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years in Transmission planning and Generation Interconnection studies.
