Job Description
We are looking for a motivated Energy Development Manager to join Amazon Data Services, Inc. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work within the AWS Energy Team, contributing to the supply of reliable and carbon-free energy to our data centers. As a Grid Analyst, you will be instrumental in leading transmission planning activities to identify renewable energy project sites and power supply opportunities for our expanding data center network.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain transmission planning and generation interconnection models to support Amazon's growth plans.
- Facilitate data aggregation and analysis to inform decision-making across energy projects.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to identify and address transmission constraints.
- Conduct power flow transmission studies to explore alternative solutions for decarbonizing energy use.
- Coordinate technical due diligence assessments on power connection options.
- Manage consultants and contractual documents related to projects.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience.
- Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies in infrastructure.
- Experience with infrastructure builds.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in Transmission planning and Generation Interconnection studies.
