Engineer

Job Description

The Elser Hotel & Residences is seeking an Engineer to join our team full-time. As an Engineer, Level 1, you will be responsible for maintaining the property in top condition with minimal inconvenience to customers and employees. This role involves a range of maintenance tasks including repairing air conditioning systems, performing preventive maintenance on equipment, and troubleshooting and repairing various systems.

Responsibilities

• Make repairs to the hotel air conditioning system, change filters, clean coils, and replace motors.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment such as boilers, chillers, and HVAC.
• Take readings on equipment, test cooling tower, and record readings.
• Replace and program televisions, light switches, receptacles, light bulbs, fixtures, etc.
• Perform furniture repair, pump replacement, plumbing repairs, and troubleshooting of kitchen equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or college coursework helpful.
• At least one year of experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work flexible hours.
• Effective communication skills and excellent customer service orientation.
• Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and maintain high standards of personal appearance and conduct.
• Must attend required meetings and training sessions.
