Job Description
The Engineering Manager at The Ketch Inn & Marina is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the engineering department. This is a seasonal position from April to September 2024. In the absence of the Director, the Engineering Manager will oversee the administrative, financial, and operational aspects of the hotel in relation to engineering.
Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining property, equipment, grounds, and assets in a safe and acceptable state of repair.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws.
- Supervise and train Engineering staff in Customer Service, SOPs, and Loss Prevention.
- Create and manage schedules, budgets, and preventative maintenance programs.
- Participate in energy conservation programs and safety committees.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in a hotel or related field.
- Technical certificate with 1+ year of supervisory experience.
- Stationary engineer’s license if required by local code.
- Skills in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
