Job Description
The Westin Long Beach is looking for a dedicated Hotel Engineer to join their team. As a Hotel Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the property is maintained to the highest standards, providing exceptional service to both customers and employees.
Responsibilities
- Make repairs and perform preventive maintenance on various systems including air conditioning, equipment, electrical, plumbing, and kitchen equipment.
- Read blueprints and wiring diagrams to trace and repair water lines.
- Perform furniture repair, maintain swimming pools and spas, and paint designated areas.
- Repair wall coverings, electronic lock systems, and finish sheet rock among other tasks.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required; trade school or college coursework in related field helpful.
- At least one year of experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and work well with a diverse group of people.
- Flexible hours, heavy lifting, and ability to multitask are necessary.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, anticipate and solve problems, and maintain confidentiality.
- Must attend required meetings and trainings as well as comply with Highgate Hotel Standards.
Salary
$20.00 per hour
