Hornblower - City Experiences is looking for a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our culinary staff, you will work closely with the Sous Chef to ensure the smooth operation of our kitchen onboard our City Cruises in Norfolk, VA.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing back-of-the-house (BOH) cruise execution to maintain high levels of quality, sanitation, and guest satisfaction.
- Support the Sous Chef in kitchen staff management, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
- Ensure effective execution of each cruise according to specified standards for a seamless guest experience.
- Participate in cost control, inventory management, and procurement of food products and supplies.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of kitchen experience in a full-service/banquet, high volume environment.
- At least one (1) year of kitchen staff management experience.
- ServSafe Certified.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
