Kitchen Cook

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Kitchen Cook to join our team at Hornblower - City Experiences in Norfolk, VA. As a Kitchen Cook, you will work closely with the Executive Chef to manage kitchen operations, ensure high-quality food service, and maintain sanitation standards on our cruises.

Responsibilities

• Act as the on-duty kitchen manager during cruises, overseeing kitchen staff and adherence to sanitation codes.
• Recruit, train, and schedule kitchen staff, providing input for their development and growth.
• Ensure seamless execution of cruise experiences, resolving service issues, and maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction.
• Participate in cost control, inventory management, and purchasing in line with budget and quality standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of kitchen experience in a high-volume environment.
• 1+ year of kitchen staff management experience.
• Formal culinary training or equivalent experience.
• ServSafe Certified.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
