Lead Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Cargill is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician to join our protein and salt business in Nebraska City, NE. In this role, you will perform maintenance on production machinery, ensure food safety and quality, maintain cleanliness, and respond to maintenance-related calls from other departments. Additionally, you will troubleshoot equipment, utilize parts in inventory for repairs, and document daily work.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on production machinery using hand tools.
• Ensure food safety and quality.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping.
• Respond to maintenance-related calls from other departments.
• Troubleshoot equipment with minimal supervision.
• Utilize parts in inventory for equipment repairs.
• Document daily work in the maintenance management system.

Requirements

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal & written).
• Ability to perform physical job duties, including lifting up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions.
• Ability to operate and set up machines using manuals, troubleshoot, and isolate malfunctions on production equipment.
• Basic computer skills, ability to use basic hand tools, and operate a forklift and other motorized equipment (or learn to operate).
