Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Madison County Jail through GENESYS Health Alliance. As a valued member of our healthcare initiatives, you will play a critical role in administering medical care to detainees in a correctional setting. Responsibilities

• Administer routine and emergency medical care to detainees.
• Treat acute and chronic illnesses and injuries.
• Provide patient treatments such as blood pressure checks, glucose monitoring, and nebulizer treatments.
• Ensure all referrals and medications are administered following protocols.
• Screen and explain treatment procedures to patients upon admission.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited licensed practical nursing program.
• Current LPN licensure in the state of employment.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Correctional nursing experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain security clearance and pass background checks.
