Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team at Joyce University. In this part-time role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to facility repair and general campus maintenance. The ideal candidate should demonstrate proficiency in multiple trades, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A proactive and detail-oriented approach is essential to efficiently address various maintenance issues.

This part-time position is based on our Draper, UT campus.

What You'll Do Every Day

• Handle repair, patching, painting, and finishing tasks to maintain campus aesthetics.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Inspect facilities regularly to identify and address maintenance issues.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
• Basic cleaning, groundskeeping, and occasional snow removal.
• Collaborate with team members and vendors on projects as assigned.
• And more tasks and projects as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• 5+ years of experience in similar role.
• Proficiency in multiple trades like carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
• Licensing in relevant trades is a plus.
