Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team in a part-time position at Joyce University's Draper, UT campus. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various repair and maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functionality and aesthetic appearance of the facilities. This role requires proficiency in multiple trades, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work independently or collaboratively with a team. Responsibilities

  • Perform repair, patching, painting, and finishing tasks to uphold the campus's visual appeal.
  • Replace or repair faulty equipment, appliances, and fixtures.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
  • Regularly inspect facilities to identify and resolve maintenance issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
  • Assist with furniture assembly and installation.
  • Execute basic cleaning, groundskeeping, and occasional snow removal.
  • Utilize basic plumbing and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members and vendors on assigned projects.
  • Complete additional tasks and projects as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar maintenance role.
  • Proficiency in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and painting.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Capability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations.
  • Licensure in relevant trades is a plus.

Compensation

$22-25 Hourly Wage.
