Job Description
OnPoint Medical Group is looking for an exceptional Medical Assistant to join the team at DTC! As a part of our physician-led network, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality healthcare services to our patients. The Medical Assistant will support our providers in delivering comprehensive medical care from one unified physician group.
Responsibilities
- Welcoming and preparing patients for healthcare visits
- Documenting vital signs and populating electronic medical records
- Assisting providers during examination and treatment, including performing point-of-care tests
- Maintaining supplies and ensuring a clean and safe work environment
- Business conduct with a service-oriented and respectful approach
- Maintaining professional relationships with practice support vendors
- Following HIPAA guidelines for internal and external systems
- Attending required trainings and meetings

- Ability to complete individual tasks and contribute to clinic success
- Effective communication and empathy with patients and colleagues
- Accurate maintenance of medical records
Minimum Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Graduate of an accredited healthcare program (e.g., Medical Assistant, CNA, LPN, EMT) or equivalent work experience
- Maintain required certifications per state guidelines
- Preferred: Nationally recognized Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
- Strong computer skills and EMR experience
- Some Medical Assistant experience required
- Current BLS card
Preferred Education/Experience
- 1-3 years of experience in Family or Pediatrics
- Experience with Athenahealth practice management system
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
