Principal Cybersecurity Engineer (Identity)

Job Description

Discover Financial Services is looking for a self-motivated Principal Cybersecurity Engineer to join the Identity Security Platform Authentication Services Team. In this role, you will automate, enhance, and optimize our portfolio of authentication technologies to secure Discover from emerging threats and adversaries. You will design the Cybersecurity engineering roadmap, deliver secure systems, and drive Cybersecurity solutions to protect the organization from cyber risks.

Responsibilities

• Act as the principal advisor in Cybersecurity matters.
• Ensure security improvement designs are implemented effectively.
• Explore and assess the latest technology trends for cybersecurity competitiveness.
• Provide leadership, direction, and subject matter expertise in Cybersecurity technologies.
• Create and maintain a Cybersecurity technology roadmap.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee project implementation for successful solution delivery.
• Research, engineer, and integrate new Cybersecurity solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in Information Security or related fields.
• Technical proficiency rating of proficient on the Dreyfus engineering scale (internal applicants only).

Preferred Qualifications

Bonus Points If You Have:

• 5+ years of experience in Enterprise Single Sign-On/MFA.
• Knowledge of authentication technologies/protocols, cybersecurity technologies, automation technologies, and programming/scripting.
• Experience in troubleshooting Windows and Linux systems and working in Agile environments.
