Job Description
We are looking for a compassionate RN Poison Info Specialist (Uncertified) to join Denver Health's RMPDS Poison Call Center team. In this role, you will provide consultation and education to individuals and healthcare professionals regarding exposures to various substances, ensuring proper treatment recommendations are given for both human and animal cases.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments by obtaining detailed histories of poisoning events and determining the appropriate course of action.
- Provide recommendations for first aid, poison prevention, and treatment in a clear and concise manner.
- Document information accurately and maintain quality standards in all interactions.
- Offer poison information to the public through FAQ's and surveys.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Nursing.
- Less than 1 year experience in a medical call center or similar setting.
- Active RN license from DORA.
- Strong computer skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
