Job Description
We are looking for an experienced RN Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Operating Room team at Denver Health. As a vital part of the operating room unit, you will play a critical role in caring for patients with diverse surgical needs, including high-acuity cases and various surgical specialties. The position involves providing compassionate and skilled patient care, maintaining detailed records, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure excellent outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assess health and safety needs of patients.
- Maintain accurate medical records.
- Monitor patient symptoms and condition changes.
- Modify treatment plans according to patient responses.
- Prepare patients for procedures and assist as needed.
- Coordinate with healthcare team for patient care.
- Provide education to patients and families.
- Administer medications and document treatment.
- Promote a positive patient experience.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Nursing.
- Minimum 1 year of Operating Room experience.
- Valid RN license and BLS, ACLS certifications.
- Proficiency in medical equipment use and patient care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm in emergency situations.
