Job Description
Discover Financial Services is seeking a Senior Associate Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our dynamic team. As an SRE at Discover, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the availability and performance of our critical applications, such as our Card and Bank websites and mobile application. This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with our Application Development teams and other SREs to enhance operational processes and drive efficiencies through automation.
Responsibilities
- Partner with teams to build end-to-end observability.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and dashboards.
- Automate operational processes.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors in Computer Science or related field.
- 1+ years in Information Technology or Software Engineering.
- Internal applicants: technical proficiency rating of advanced beginner.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of SRE experience.
- Good understanding of hybrid infrastructure, preferably with AWS.
- Experience in languages like Python, Go, Java, and shell scripting.
- Proficiency in automation tools like Chef, Puppet, and Ansible.
- Expertise in observability tools such as APM, synthetic monitoring, and log aggregation.
- Experience with dashboarding tools like Grafana and Kibana.

Compensation
Base pay ranges between $71,500.00 to $121,100.00, with additional incentives based on experience and skills.
