Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to join our AWS Cryptography team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. As part of the Protocols, Algorithms, and Libraries (PAL) team, you will play a key role in developing secure encryption tools and libraries to protect sensitive data for our customers both in and outside of the cloud environment.
Responsibilities
- Own the software development lifecycle for AWS Cryptography, including designing, testing, and implementing new features.
- Operate globally distributed servers and manage customer interactions.
- Deliver secure and reliable services by building foundational libraries using C and Rust.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proficiency in at least one software programming language.
- Experience in leading design or architecture of systems.
- Previous mentoring or tech lead role in an engineering team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, testing, and operations.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
