Job Description
We are looking for a talented Senior Software Development Engineer to join our AWS Cryptography team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. If you are passionate about practical cryptography, building secure software solutions, and contributing to open-source encryption tools, this role is for you. As a key member of the Protocols, Algorithms, and Libraries (PAL) team, you will play a vital role in developing and maintaining secure encryption tools and libraries to protect sensitive data both within and outside the cloud.
Responsibilities
- Lead the complete software development lifecycle for AWS Cryptography, including designing, testing, and implementing new features.
- Operate globally distributed servers and address the needs of internal and external customers.
- Develop foundational libraries using C and Rust to ensure the security and reliability of AWS services.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience in leading design and architecture of systems, as well as mentoring or leading engineering teams.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Passion for delivering secure and user-friendly software solutions.

This position is available in Seattle, WA, USA.
