Job Description
Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. is seeking a talented Senior Software Development Engineer to join the AWS Cryptography team (C3P). This is a full-time position with a focus on implementing cryptography at scale to ensure the security of millions of customers' data. As part of the Protocols, Algorithms, and Libraries (PAL) team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining secure and easy-to-use encryption tools and libraries that help customers protect their sensitive data both inside and outside of the cloud.
Responsibilities
- Own the complete software development lifecycle for AWS Cryptography, including defining, prioritizing, designing, testing, and implementing new features.
- Operate an AWS business with globally distributed servers and customers.
- Deliver foundational libraries using C and Rust to enhance security in AWS services.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- Proficiency in at least one software programming language.
- Experience in leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
- Previous experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, and testing.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
