Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to join the Protocols, Algorithms, and Libraries (PAL) team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. You will be part of the AWS Cryptography team, dedicated to providing robust security features to our customers by implementing cryptography at scale.
Your role will involve owning the complete software development lifecycle, delivering secure and reliable cryptographic tools, and operating AWS services with global reach. As a key team member, you will collaborate with senior leaders and security specialists to build user-friendly encryption tools that protect sensitive data both inside and outside the cloud.
Responsibilities
- Define, prioritize, design, test, and implement new features for AWS Cryptography.
- Deliver foundational libraries using C and Rust to ensure top-notch security for AWS services.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience in programming with at least one software language.
- Proven track record in system design, architecture, and leading engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of coding standards, testing, and operations.
