Job Description

Indigo Real Estate, a leading property management company, is looking for an Assistant Compliance Manager - Apartments to join their team. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in tax credit paperwork and thrive in a role that demands attention to detail and compliance expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Review and process resident and applicant Tax Credit certification paperwork.
  • Update property information in Yardi software including units, utility allowances, income, and rent limits.
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws and regulations through spot checks on property files and leasing activities.
  • Maintain knowledge of Tax Credit and affordable housing programs, with LIHTC program proficiency.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve conflicts efficiently and professionally.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of compliance experience, preferably in affordable housing.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to make quick and accurate decisions while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license and high school diploma or equivalent.
