Job Description

Marion County Health and Human Services Public Health Division is seeking a passionate Bilingual Public Health Worker 3 with fluency in Marshallese/Chuukese and English to join our team. This position involves providing culturally responsive programs and clinical preventive services to a diverse population.

General Statement of Duties

The role includes community outreach, case management functions, and providing health education. The ideal candidate will assist with TB control programs, directly observed therapy, and collaborating with the TB team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct field investigations and phone follow-ups for tuberculosis cases.
  • Assist in TB screening, testing, and treatment under the supervision of a Public Health Nurse.
  • Participate in STD investigation and partner services as needed.
  • Support syphilis staging appointments and provide HIV outreach and testing services.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience in community health, medical, or mental health services.
  • Fluency in bilingual Marshallese/Chuukese and English is essential.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
