The CDL Driver at Albertsons Companies, Inc. is responsible for performing pre and post trip inspections of their vehicle, ensuring safe and effective loading/unloading, and operating their equipment responsibly. This role involves reviewing paperwork, checking orders, delivering and unloading products with various equipment, maintaining DOT compliance, and ensuring timely deliveries while upholding professional communication standards with customers and vendors.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receive route paperwork, truck and trailer assignments, and instructions for the route
• Conduct pre-trip, inter trip, and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT and FMCSA regulations
• Verify loads and destinations, ensure proper load securement, and scale loads by weight
• Follow route plans, meet delivery/pick-up requirements, and complete store cleanouts as contracted
• Communicate any issues affecting the route plan and ensure all cargo is secured throughout the delivery route
• Accurately report hours of service in compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations using ELD
