Certified Pharmacy Technician - Natchitoches, Louisiana
Southern Scripts is a specialty pharmacy company that is rapidly growing and seeking talented individuals to join our team. As a Certified Pharmacy Technician at CRx Specialty Pharmacy, you will play a crucial role in maintaining professional relationships with clients and patients while ensuring the effective operation of the pharmacy.
Role and Responsibilities
- Verify and check prescription claim data for employer groups.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and doctor offices to assist in administering prior authorizations.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory and ensure a safe and clean pharmacy environment.
- Prepare medications for dispensing, record prescriptions, and deliver medications to patients and departments.
- Contribute to team efforts and comply with HIPAA regulations regarding patient information.
- Display flexibility, adaptability, and a strong work ethic.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Ability to work under stress and adhere to deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills, motivation, and integrity.
- Proficiency in medical terminology, calculations, and computer skills.
- Experience in compounding is preferred.
- Basic math skills and familiarity with medication names and uses.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, hourly position with typical working hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and occasional after-hours or weekend duties.
Required Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician License.
- One year of pharmacy technician and customer service experience preferred.
