Job Description
Join our team at Charter Senior Living of Hazel Crest as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Caregiver. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in supporting our residents in the Assisted Living and/or Memory Care Program(s), assisting with daily activities, implementing care plans, and ensuring residents maintain a high quality of life with dignity. Your compassionate care will enrich the lives of older adults, fostering a warm and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance with daily activities including medication reminders, bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Follow resident care schedules and provide emotional and social support.
- Document services provided and communicate any resident concerns to supervisors.
- Promote resident independence, confidentiality, and safety.
- Attend training and meetings to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Maintain professionalism and a positive attitude towards residents and colleagues.
- Adhere to safety protocols and organizational policies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- CNA, STNA, GNA, CHHA, or relevant caregiver certification as per state regulations.
- CPR/First Aid Certification may be required.
- Experience with the elderly preferred but not mandatory.
- Clear communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and high-pressure situations calmly.
