Job Description

Gertens Family of Businesses is looking for a Corporate Controller with a CPA designation to lead our Accounting Department. Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations, the Controller will manage all accounting functions, providing financial information and making strategic decisions for the company. This role requires overseeing general accounting, financial reporting, budget preparation, and audit activities in line with established policies.

Essential Functions

• Oversee Accounting department, budget preparation, and audit functions.
• Manage month-end closing activities and internal financials.
• Work closely with other department heads to assess organizational performance and provide strategic recommendations.
• Enhance financial systems, processes, and control systems to drive operational efficiency.
• Mentor and develop a team of direct reports for effective performance.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance preferred.
• CPA designation or willingness to earn/reinstate within the first year of employment.
• 8-10 years of experience in financial management.
