Diesel Mechanic
Description
Transdev, a leader in mobility solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair vehicles including buses and heavy equipment owned by Summit County. This full-time role offers competitive compensation, including a sign-on bonus, and a work schedule of four 10-hour days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with preventative maintenance, safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
- Diagnose and perform all phases of vehicle and equipment repair, including brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions.
- Ensure accurate completion of work orders.
- Provide assistance with road calls and emergency services as required.
Requirements:
- Valid CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsement required (or must be obtained within 90 days of Employment).
- At least 5 years of automotive or diesel maintenance & repair experience or a combination of technical school education & experience.
- Mechanic's toolset.
- ASE certifications required. Must be willing to participate in the company's certification program.
- Subject to DOT drug testing.
