Job Description
We are looking for an Environmental Technician to join our team at Goucher College. This full-time position, based on our campus, involves performing cleaning tasks to ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of college buildings under the supervision of the Associate Director and Supervisors of Environmental Services.
Essential Job Functions
- Vacuuming, spot cleaning, and dusting various surfaces.
- Sweeping, mopping, and cleaning public areas and restrooms.
- Sanitizing and disinfecting restrooms and replenishing supplies.
- Collecting and disposing of trash and recyclable materials.
- Assisting with snow removal when needed.
- Identifying and reporting maintenance issues.
- Inspecting work to ensure standards are met.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
Required: Combination of training, experience, and education related to custodial cleaning. Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent. Must have three years of custodial experience, floor care training is a plus.
Starting salary for this position is $15.27 per hour.
