Maintenance Supervisor

Join us at Northern Manufacturing Co. as a Maintenance Supervisor, where you will lead and oversee a dedicated team of maintenance and janitorial staff. Your primary focus will be on ensuring equipment reliability, optimizing maintenance processes, and fostering a culture of excellence and safety within our manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Minimize plant downtime by prioritizing equipment emergencies and maximizing factory productivity.
• Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance team activities, including scheduling, task assignment, and performance management.
• Collaborate with production managers to prioritize maintenance needs and minimize disruptions to workflow.
• Implement and maintain a preventive maintenance program for building, grounds, machinery, and equipment.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate project work and maintenance activities, while managing inventory and supplies.
• Train and mentor maintenance staff on best practices, safety protocols, and equipment operation.

Requirements

• Associates Degree or equivalent in engineering or a skilled trade; 5+ years of maintenance experience.
• Supervisory maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Strong employee relations, communication skills, and ability to read technical diagrams.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
• Experience with repairing and troubleshooting automation systems.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to obtain a forklift license.
