Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Manager of Infection Control to join the team at Kettering Health Network. In this role, you will serve as the Infection Control Officer, implementing effective procedures to combat disease transmission among patients and staff. You will lead efforts to develop and monitor infection prevention policies, ensuring a safe and timely delivery of care.

Responsibilities

• Act as an advocate for integrating infection control practices to facilitate optimal patient care.
• Collaborate with facility teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Develop and monitor infection control policies and procedures based on scientific research.
• Provide training and education to hospital staff on infection prevention guidelines.
• Conduct routine audits to assess adherence to infection control protocols.
• Coordinate with local health authorities to address disease threats and outbreaks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related healthcare field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in infection control.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Active Ohio Registered Nursing Licensure or equivalent.
• Certification in Infection Prevention and Control required within 18 months of hire.
