Job Description

Twin Pine Bison Company is seeking a motivated maintenance technician to assist with the care and equipment maintenance of our ranch in Wheatland, WY. The ideal candidate will be energetic, resourceful, and self-motivated, and able to work in isolation or in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled labor required for the preventive maintenance and repair of ranch equipment.
  • Monitor inventory levels of operating supplies, replacement parts, and materials and notify supervisor when reordering is necessary.
  • Comply with state and federal vehicle requirements.
  • Maintain vehicle records.
  • Work independently as well as with others.
  • Follow established safety policies and practices.
  • Ability to work weekends, as needed.

Requirements

  • Must have 5-10 years of experience working on all types of engines.
  • Automotive technology program or certification preferred.
  • Responsible for independently performing diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on agricultural equipment, small construction equipment, ATV/UTVs, and automobiles.
  • Ability to move between different types of small engine and drive train applications.
  • Complete and thorough documentation of machine information, diagnostics, and repairs performed on work orders and on-time submittal of information.
  • Verify vehicle performance by conducting test drives, adjusting controls, and systems.
  • Strong electrical skills are required.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
  • Possession of a CDL preferred.
  • Basic computer skills desired with the ability to maintain and access accurate records.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Work to help promote a positive, respectful, energetic, efficient, and motivated team environment.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Exposure to adverse weather conditions.
  • Exposure to various types of machinery noise.
  • Exposure to heavy vehicle traffic areas.
  • Vision enough to perform functions such as identifying materials necessary to complete maintenance on equipment and to operate ranch vehicles and equipment.
  • Manual dexterity enough to operate tools, vehicles, and equipment.
  • Flexibility enough to bend, twist, and reach as to load and unload equipment, supplies, or tools.
  • Stamina and strength enough to lift and/or move 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to bend or stoop repeatedly or continuously over extended periods of time.

Candidates must successfully complete all pre-employment screenings and employment eligibility verification. Pre-employment screenings include a background and national sex offender search, a motor vehicle record search, and for some positions, a physical demands evaluation.
