Job Description
We are currently seeking a passionate Middle School Math Teacher to join Match Education for the 2024-2025 academic year. As a Middle School Math Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in fostering academic excellence and supporting student growth at our Jamaica Plain campus in Boston, MA.
Responsibilities
- Teach four middle school math classes.
- Develop lesson plans in alignment with Match's Math curriculum.
- Maintain high academic and behavioral expectations, offering extensive support to students.
- Participate in coaching and professional development activities.
- Contribute to school programs during non-teaching hours.
- Be an active and collaborative member of the Match Charter Public School community.
Qualifications
- Minimum two years of full-time teaching experience, preferably in an urban education environment.
- Valid Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education license, or the ability to obtain one within a year of hire.
- Belief in the potential of all students to succeed.
- Commitment to ongoing self-improvement and accepting feedback.
- Track record of student success.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and support colleagues.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this position ranges from $61,200 to $97,920, commensurate with prior teaching experience. Match Education offers a comprehensive benefits package, including 90% coverage of health insurance costs and student loan repayment assistance.
