Senior Accountant

Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join the dynamic team at Avidex, a leading player in the audiovisual and IT integration industry based in Cary, North Carolina. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for leveraging your expertise in GAAP to scrutinize financial data, prepare accurate financial reports, and uphold internal controls with precision. Reporting directly to the Corporate Controller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring financial accuracy and integrity within our organization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly general ledger close, prepare journal entries, upload financial results, and manage closing tasks.
• Contribute to the annual audit by preparing necessary deliverables.
• Maintain integrity of internal controls, support evidence, and assist with testing.
• Manage accuracy of balance sheet accounts through meticulous account reconciliations.
• Prepare detailed reports and analyses for senior management.
• Respond to financial information requests from the parent company.
• Provide guidance and review work of junior accountants.
• Embark on other projects as directed by Accounting Management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA designation highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or audit.
• Proficiency in GAAP, auditing standards, internal controls, and familiarity with ERP systems.
• Solid background in tax and regulatory compliance.
• Intermediate Excel skills with ability to craft complex spreadsheets.
• Strong financial analysis, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Leadership experience and process improvement initiatives valued.
