1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler

Job Description
As a 1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler at Aldi, you will be responsible for efficiently handling incoming stock, relocating merchandise, loading, unloading, and maintaining the warehouse's appearance and safety. Your role will also involve inventory counts, communication with peers and suppliers, and providing input to improve processes.
Responsibilities
- Select and receive incoming stock efficiently to fulfill orders.
- Relocate merchandise according to product handling guidelines.
- Sort, organize, load, and unload merchandise strategically for shipment.
- Perform general cleaning duties to maintain warehouse appearance.
- Participate in-taking warehouse inventory counts and communicate effectively with peers and suppliers.
- Provide input to improve warehouse processes.
- Inspect product and consult with warehouse management regarding quality and safety concerns.
Job Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older to be employed for this role at Aldi.
- Demonstrate concern for quality, product integrity, and safety of one's own and others' work and impact to the stores.
- Collaborate and cooperate with the team, demonstrate a positive attitude, drive for success, organize and execute with efficiency.
- Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures, have excellent communication skills, perform basic arithmetic equations, give attention to detail, and follow instructions.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to safely and properly operate powered industrial equipment.
Physical Requirements
- Lift and place product weighing up to 45 pounds on pallets at various heights.
- Move merchandise from warehouse stock and prepare product for store deliveries.
- Sit, stand, bend, reach, grip, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the warehouse.
- Work in varying temperatures, hot and cold, and safely operate powered industrial equipment.
