Automotive Diesel Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Diesel Mechanic to join our team at First Student, the largest school transportation provider in North America with a strong commitment to safety and reliability. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing school buses to ensure vehicle safety and readiness, while providing guidance to junior technicians. Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and DOT maintenance inspections.
• Diagnose and repair all phases of vehicle and equipment, including brakes, suspensions, and drivetrains.
• Ensure accurate completion of work orders and assist with emergency services.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license; willingness to obtain CDL while employed.
• At least 3 years of automotive or diesel maintenance experience or technical school education.
• Possess a mechanic's tool set and be willing to participate in the ASE certification program.
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical requirements.
