Job Description
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Community Bank President/Ag Lender to join Bank Iowa Corporation in Newton. In this role, you will be responsible for generating quality Ag and Commercial loans, representing Bank Iowa in the community, leading a team of Relationship Managers and Loan Assistants, and actively participating in civic and community activities to establish the bank as a center of influence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and champion the bank's values, culture, and strategic direction.
- Manage an agriculture and commercial loan portfolio, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
- Approve loans within specified limits and refer loan applications outside those limits to management for approval.
- Participate in community activities, business development, and visibility initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Ag Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- Minimum of 7+ years lending and banking experience as an Ag & Commercial Loan Officer.
- Strong Agriculture background preferred.
- Extensive supervisory and management experience.
- Ideal candidates will have leadership, credit analysis or underwriting, and/or sales experience.
