Job Description

Asociación Puertorriqueños en Marcha (APM), a nonprofit organization in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking a dedicated Community Connector for the Violence Intervention Project. In this full-time position, you will work closely with the APM Violence Intervention team to engage victims of non-fatal shootings and individuals at risk of perpetuating violence in North Philadelphia. Your role will involve outreach, community engagement, eligibility assessments, and maintaining contact with young people to provide support and resources.

Responsibilities

  • Provide community outreach based on referrals from community contacts regarding non-fatal shooting victims and individuals at risk of violence.
  • Engage with victims and at-risk individuals in collaboration with the Violence Intervention team.
  • Collaborate with community leadership and local police districts to provide outreach and support services.
  • Maintain outreach lists, engage with key partners, and design engagement plans for young people.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of direct service work with high-risk young people.
  • Experience working with street-involved high-risk individuals.
  • Valid driver's license or access to public transportation.
