Cost Accountant

Job Description

Marine Hydraulics International, LLC is seeking a talented Cost Accountant to join our team. As a Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of financial records and providing key insights for decision-making. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in cost accounting principles and methodologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Calculate monthly revenue and prepare financial project result reports.
• Assist in the review of project EACs and provide support to project managers.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with indirect rates and assist the Contracts department with cost reporting.
• Support the improvement of cost accounting systems and processes.
• Prepare contractual invoices and monitor accounts receivable.
• Participate in financial audits and drive process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting or a similar role.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and financial software.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
