Job Description
The Delivery and Take-Out Specialist at Silver Diner Development, LLC plays a crucial role in providing exceptional hospitality to our guests, merchandising display cases, handling food and beverage orders, driving sales, and managing POS functions. As part of our team, you will ensure that every guest receives outstanding service, orders are accurate, and suggestive selling is employed. Additionally, you will maintain cleanliness, communicate effectively, and contribute to a positive work environment. This position requires weekend and holiday availability.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and ensure outstanding service.
- Deliver accurate orders and engage in suggestive selling.
- Maintain awareness of menu items and proper merchandising.
- Keep display cases and work area clean and organized.
- Complete sales transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Communicate guest requests to management and work collaboratively.
Brand Delivery
- Adhere to uniform standards and SMG scoring for service and order accuracy.
- Reflect the Silver Diner brand in all interactions.
Cost Balancing
- Handle cash transactions properly and account for all sales.
- Ensure appropriate portioning of self-service items.
Other Duties & Tasks
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by managers.
Performance Measures
- Achieve positive sales growth and guest satisfaction.
- Demonstrate zero cash handling errors.
Requirements
- 1-2 years experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Prior experience as a Cashier or Server is a plus.
- Exceptional guest service skills and communication abilities.
- Outgoing, energetic, and organized with a high sense of urgency.
- Ability to multi-task and meet scheduling requirements.
Physical Requirements
This role involves working in a physically intense environment with food, refrigeration, sharp tools, and varied temperatures. Candidates must have the stamina to perform tasks such as lifting boxes, standing for extended periods, and handling cleaning products.
