Highway Design Engineer

Job Description

Join KS Engineers P.C., a leading engineering and construction management firm, as a Highway Design Engineer. In this role, you will work on detailed roadway and highway projects, collaborating with a team of engineers to ensure the successful design and implementation of transportation infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the detailed design of roadway and highway projects, including curb, ramps, sidewalks, and driveways.
• Develop plans and specifications, conduct cost estimates, and ensure design accuracy.
• Maintain proficiency in relevant software applications and stay updated on design criteria and technology advancements.
• Provide responsive support to clients and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5-15 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Bentley MicroStation/Inroads/Open Roads, AUTOCAD, Bluebeam, and MS Office.
• Prior experience with highway/roadway drainage design preferred.
• PE License, preferably in the state of Connecticut.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
