Summary: We are seeking a Lead Grocery Store Designer to oversee design and construction coordination for grocery store development projects in the Kansas City Division. This role involves advising members on store development, working with architects and engineers, and managing equipment sales and installation. Some travel within Kansas and Missouri is required.

Responsibilities

• Meet with member retailers to design fixture layouts and recommend building components.
• Supervise building construction, review documents, and manage project budgets.
• Coordinate equipment installation, negotiate with vendors, and resolve construction issues.
• Provide training to Store Engineers, create work processes, and manage departmental budgets.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail grocery design, CAD software, and construction management.
• Strong attention to detail, technical aptitude, and relationship-building skills.
• High school diploma required; college degree and grocery design experience preferred.
• Physical ability to perform tasks and travel up to 50% of the time.
