Job Description

We are looking for a skilled LPN - Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) to join Genesis Healthcare, a leading healthcare services provider. The Health Unit Coordinator-LPN will support the nursing staff in delivering high-quality care services to patients/residents. Working under the guidance of Unit Manager, Charge Nurse, or Director of Nursing, the role involves administration support tasks such as transcribing medication and treatment orders, coordinating care, and ensuring proper documentation from admission to discharge.

Position Highlights

• Transcribe and process health practitioner orders under nurse supervision.
• Communicate and implement the Genesis Pharmacy Program in the nursing center.
• Collaborate with the Medical Director and nursing staff to meet Pharmacy Program goals.
• Support scheduling and tracking of healthcare provider appointments.
• Manage patient/resident and visitor relations in accordance with nursing center policies.

Experience in medical terminology, medication transcription, and familiarity with pharmacy systems is essential for this role. Proficiency in using computers and applications like Excel is required.
