Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team at Freeman Webb Company. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our physical plant under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager.

Responsibilities

• Participate in various maintenance projects.
• Perform electrical and plumbing repairs.
• Replace broken items such as glass, tile, carpet, etc.
• Conduct painting, carpentry, and custodial work.
• Assist with grounds work and emergency coverage as needed.
• Ensure stock control and utilization of maintenance materials.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment.
• Inspect units, buildings, and common areas for repairs and janitorial upkeep.
• Maintain knowledge of utilities, suppliers, and safety protocols.
• Assist in apartment inspections and follow-up inspections.
• Maintain supplies, organize workshop/storage areas, and prioritize work safety.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; prior maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and write reports.
• Basic math skills required.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects, work at heights, and withstand various environmental conditions.
